Family Travel

I’ve taken 55+ trips and visited over 10 countries with my twin boys—and every single one has taught me something new about traveling with kids.

It’s helped me learn (sometimes the hard way) how to make family travel smoother, simpler, and more memorable.

These posts share advice that actually works for moms, not just the picture-perfect version of travel but the behind-the-scenes stuff—like what to pack for a beach vacation with your kids, helping your toddler sleep on the plane, and what to do when things don’t go according to plan.

As a family, we’ve explored the vibrant culture of Brazil, snorkeled the coast of Aruba, soaked up the sun on Costa Rica’s Beaches, and often visited our childhood hometowns of Miami and Milwaukee, while exploring our home of over a decade, New Orleans—all while juggling nap schedules, snack breaks, and tiny carry-ons.

So, here’s some of my best advice for planning a trip that everyone enjoys.

Packing List and Checklists

I’m all about making travel easier—that starts with packing smarter.

We’re also passionately #teamcarryon. Even when taking trips across the globe, I hardly ever check our bags. As you can imagine, this has forced me to learn what’s essential… and what I can leave behind.

Here are a few of my most popular packing lists and checklists designed specifically for family travel. Whether you’re prepping for your first flight with a baby, planning a beach trip with toddlers, or sneaking in a solo weekend away, I’ve got a list to help you feel more organized.

Hi, I’m a wife and twin mama who decided early on that motherhood wouldn’t mean the end of travel... it would just mean doing it differently.
Since then, I’ve been able to take dozens of trips around the world with my kids, and I can assure you that if you’ve ever thought, “Is this even worth it with kids?”—I’m here to tell you it absolutely is.
You just need the right tips, a solid plan, and someone who’s already done it!
