Iโ€™ve taken 55+ trips and visited over 10 countries with my twin boysโ€”and every single one has taught me something new about traveling with kids.ย

Itโ€™s helped me learn (sometimes the hard way) how to make family travel smoother, simpler, and more memorable.

These posts share advice that actually works for moms, not just the picture-perfect version of travel but the behind-the-scenes stuffโ€”like what to pack for a beach vacation with your kids, helping your toddler sleep on the plane, and what to do when things donโ€™t go according to plan.ย

As a family, weโ€™ve explored the vibrant culture of Brazil, snorkeled the coast of Aruba, soaked up the sun on Costa Ricaโ€™s Beaches, and often visited our childhood hometowns of Miami and Milwaukee, while exploring our home of over a decade, New Orleansโ€”all while juggling nap schedules, snack breaks, and tiny carry-ons.

So, hereโ€™s some of my best advice for planning a trip that everyone enjoys.

Iโ€™m all about making travel easierโ€”that starts with packing smarter.ย

Weโ€™re also passionately #teamcarryon. Even when taking trips across the globe, I hardly ever check our bags. As you can imagine, this has forced me to learn whatโ€™s essential… and what I can leave behind.

Here are a few of my most popular packing lists and checklists designed specifically for family travel. Whether youโ€™re prepping for your first flight with a baby, planning a beach trip with toddlers, or sneaking in a solo weekend away, Iโ€™ve got a list to help you feel more organized.ย

Who is The Traveling Twin Mama?

Marquita Wright

Hi, Iโ€™m a wife and twin mama who decided early on that motherhood wouldnโ€™t mean the end of travel... it would just mean doing it differently.
Since then, Iโ€™ve been able to take dozens of trips around the world with my kids, and I can assure you that if youโ€™ve ever thought, โ€œIs this even worth it with kids?โ€โ€”Iโ€™m here to tell you it absolutely is.
You just need the right tips, a solid plan, and someone whoโ€™s already done it!
